Science Fair

2017
Scroll down for the results of the Awakeri Fair and the BOP fair.

Isabel Lambert did well for a year 7, highly commended. The judges from Fonterra must have been impressed! Oscar Mahy, another year 7 to shine. Sun shine!
Cody Hall built a great dog feeder. Commended was Ella Forbes.
Naughty chinchillas inspired this entry by Ayla Rowe and Teigan Nolan. The tech winner, Liam White with a fantastic entry to keeper runners safe at night.
Making little kids wash their hands longer was Kieran Butler's challenge. He succeeded! Kids fighting in the back seat? You need one of these! See Graceyn Growden.
Everyone tried out the Flexi-Scratcher. Well done Frank Butler and Rhys Robertson. Feeding your pets well, always a good topic. Stephanie Martin looks after her guinea pigs.
Josh Broadmore has a broad smile! The judge from Oji Fibre Solutions was very interested in these results! Bonnie-Marie Wetting-Davidson - great job - second place in science.
Sophie Peat looked at this interesting question. The science winner, beating his twin sister, Elijah Wetting-Davidson
Prize giving. The frost has thawed, nearly all the rooms have turned up, and Mr Hawkes is telling everyone some thoughts on the fair, like the judges from Fonterra, Oji and the Whakatane Mill were very impressed with the standard of work and especially the way the students could talk about their entries. They selected 13 to go to the BOP fair. The place getters from the science section.
Bonnie, Elijah , Ayla and Teigan took away the science prizes (many thanks to Oji FS and Fonterra) The technology place getters.
Liam, Graceyn, Stephanie and Kieran took away those prizes.
